Hello Thomas,

I've bought pano2qtvr last year and I am fully happy with the results.
While reading about the updates on your site, I saw the announcement of pano2VR. One of the items in the feature list interested me, but I'm not sure I understood it: "I have written my own QuickTime engine to be independent from the installed QuickTime version (and to generate QTVRs on Linux)."

Having no programming skills at all, I'm not sure of what this means. Does it mean that the erson viewing the VR file does not need to have quicktime installed? Or is it just for the person making the VR?

I greatly prefer the quicktime files, because they look much cleaner and are really smoother when viewing. But a lot of people does not have quicktime installed and it is a pretty big download to make.

So my question really is, what does that exactly mean?
thanks everyone,

It's just for the creator. It means you as a creator do not need to install QuickTime and the creation of QuickTime files works also on systems not supported by Apple like Windows XP 64, Vista 64, and Linux.
