Hi!
When having selected "Embedded XML" in the HTML5 Output, why does it anyway generate an xml file? What should be the advantage of having the xml embedded?
Thanks.
Regards, Martin

Hi Martin,
Pano2VR still outputs the file as well as adds the XML code to the HTML page.
You can just deleate the XML file.

Hopki

Hi Hopki,
Is there any advantage of having the .xml in the index.html page?

xml embedded in HTML file:
Over all number of on-server files reduced as 1 combined code set and not 2 files
xml code can be reviewed and manually edited by opening the HTML page.
Not that I can read and understand html much less xml... but it is nice to have it all in one location.
Having both html and xml files might mean that 1 common xml file can be use by more than 1 html file
ALL speculation of course.

If memory serves...
This was done to get over the local file restrictions of HTML5 outputs.
The first restrictions were you cannot open XML files locally so the pano did not display.
So the workaround was to embed the XML in the HTML page.
There are other uses for it but I think this is why it was done in the first place.
