I am currently using a Macbook Pro Retina laptop with a I7 processor for creating my panoramas with PtGui and Pano2VR. Both applications require a lot of processing power and takes a fair bit of time and heats up the computer quite a bit. I am considering purchasing a Mac Pro which has several processors, up to 12 cores. I would hate to purchase one of these and find later that Pano2VR will only use 1 core.

Will Pano2VR use all of the available computer power provided?

Very interested about that! I will buy a new iMac later this year with (hopefully) Haswell i7. Would be very nice if pano2vr will use all of the 8 Cores :-)

Ptgui will use those cores to the max. From my understanding, stitching is very processor heavy (needs processing power more than RAM)

Computers do melt down.
Our backup computer now has a broke CPU. Three lights 1,2 4 indicates a failed CPU.

Now have 2 new Dell 27" touch screen i7 computers. Needed room to grow.
