I often use the batch processor for creating hundreds of panoramas in Flash/HTML5. Does this use the GPU at all and if so is there a recommended graphics card that would quicken the process up considerably?

After Googling “cpu gpu”, there is an on-going computer industry debate about which is more important, CPU or GPU. The differing opinions tend to boil down to each specific application's architecture and whether or not, and how that application utilizes the CPU or GPU. In the case of batch outputting pano tour images, only the creators of Pano2VR can honestly answer the question. (Geez, I sound like Spock on Star Trek. It's all very logical.) Unless you can qualify your answer Tong? (For the record, I think Tong is probably correct, because GPU is newer tech than CPU and most applications do not yet fully utilize the GPU.)

Likewise, in the case of batch stitching the camera images into pano images, then the answer should come from the creators of PTGUI.
