How do I delete media?

As a newcomer to this software, this may seem like a naive question but I have searched everywhere and tried everything I can.

I have added some sound media to a panorama, but have decided to remove it - how on earth do I delete it?

Select it and hit the keyboard "delete" key.

I was right clicking, looking for buttons, menu options, but overlooked the obvious!
