Hello everyone,
I am using the multiresolution function by creating the flash output and I have a problem...When a pano opens and I want to see other parts of the pano, for example the ground or the ceiling, and I drag with the mouse in that direction the "tiles" do open too slowly...I don't know if the word "tile" is correct what I mean is it takes a while until the viewer can see the ground or the ceiling clearly...Yes, of course that is the logic of multiresolution, first the level with low res is downloaded and the "finer levels" after that...But on other examples cretaed with pano2vr I see that 1.) this process is faster than in my examples and 2.) the first resolution level is not black&white like in mine...Please see my example below:
http://www.bilisimfotograf.com/images/s ... nek_1.html

And in a recent thread in the galleries on another forum I saw this example -amongst others-:
http://www.dlsphoto.net/YosemiteWinter2 ... VeilFalls/

My panos in the example are 9000x4500 px...When I create the flash output I use as the cube face size 9000:3.14=2866 px...When I go to the multiresolution tab I first cerate levels automatically (3 levels) and then change the settings as;
Levels 2866; 1433 and 716
Level Tile size 716

Am I missing something?
Any answer will be greatly appreciated...

9000/Pi (3.1415) = 2864px
Tile is correct terminology.

Suggestion:
Panorama 9048px
Tiles 2880, 1800, 1440, 720, 360 all dividable by 8
Add more compression to lower sized tiles for faster download.

Hi burakercumen,
For the Preview images being greyscale, go to the Visuals tab and under Download/Preview you can change the type.
If you choose None, then you can set a colour using the colour picker, otherwise you can use Greyscale, Sepia or Colour.

Hopki

Works much better now:

(replaced the file within the same link)

Smooth; in the tutorial about multiresolution the "next level tile size" is alwasy the half of the previous one...How did you calculate the 1800 pix.?

Multiples of 8

You need a size between 2880 and half of that at 1440

2880/8 = 360
1800/8 = 225
1440/8 = 180
720/8 = 90
360/8 = 45

Using this method you can work what sizes are needed vs resolution etc.

You could just as easily have had 1840/8 = 230 or 2000/8 = 250

Smooth thanks a lot for the answer...When I first read this:

I looked in the multiresolution tab and couldn't find any setting for compressing the tiles...I thought Ok Then I'll open the tiles in PS and compress but I just had a look and for each pano there are more then 600 tiles and that would be a long work...Is there a faster way?
