Hi, I have a bigger project and I need to improve loading.
http://virtualpanorama.cz/nemcr1/
I use multiresolution in the whole project but not in the first panorama. Loading in this case is painfully slow.
And in the fírst panorama I externalize skin images.
I let the Pano2vr decide the size of tiles - 2663,1331,665 . I also check at 665 the "Load at startup"
I do not know what feature or difference is between Embed - Load at startup - Decode at startup. Which checkbox has the main influence on speed of loading?
Thanks
How to improve loading?

Hi Marty,
This seems very slow, I did a test on my system.
Just for reference my internet Speed tops out at 28.11MB sec and all testes done with this connection and on the same computer.
Downloading the sound example on our website, server in Austria and i'm in the UK.
File size 1.1MB took me 898 mS
Your files,
01.swf file size 2.6 MB took me 2m 28s
02.swf file size 1.7 MB took me 1m 39s
You have a real blockage somewhere, regardless how you have set up multi resolution if your file size is 1.7 MB I should have downloaded it in under 2 seconds.
Has your Host provider got any problems?
In the Multiresolution tab Try not selecting any of the settings, then you should download the preview track then the correct tiles for the window size.
Regards,
Hopki

Thank you Hopki for reply.
My provider moved the whole domain to his new server, more powerful he said.
But I am afraid that loading is the same or worse. The main problem is, that when you click on hotspot or thumb to switch to another panorama, you can not see any action or change on the screen and it took 14 sec (on my line) until you can see first new pixels of another panorama.

Can you please check the speed and have a look on my project.ggsk file?
I would very appreciated it
Martin

Hi Martin,
Here is my test results.
Your link and first file that opens:
http://virtualpanorama.cz/nemcr1/
SWF file size = 2.57MB
Latency = 1.29s
Duration = 2.5 min
This link is the embedded multiresolution example on our website.
http://gardengnomesoftware.com/pano2vr_ ... d_multires
SWF file size = 3.53MB
Latency = 45.9ms
Duration = 1.53s
Just tested your link with Firefox and Firebug:
[20:38:31.684] GET http://virtualpanorama.cz/nemcr1/01.swf [HTTP/1.1 200 OK 162712ms] so 2.7 minutes.
Still think you has some issues.

Martin

Thanks for your reply.
The domain is not fully transfered by DNS.
You can try it if you set the temporary IP in hosts file : 81.2.195.71 virtualpanorama.cz - sorry for not telling in my previous email.
But I can still see that this project behaves different than my other project where player reacts immediately after mouse click:
http://virtualpanorama.cz/tugendhattour/
or
http://virtualpanorama.cz/suchdol/.
But still hospital is bad:

May I ask you to have a look on my project file?
Thankyou in advance
