Greetings,

I get a line in my panorama starting from the zenith going down to the nadir where the left and right ends of the source photo is.

This only occurs when use a filter on the photo in PhotoShop, filters like Lucis or Topaz.

The usual filters of sharpening, color adjustment etc....does not cause the line to appear.

Has anyone else had this happen.

Here is a shot of the issue.

Thanks,

You MUST flatten your layers in Photoshop before saving.

You also can check the seam using:

Filter>Other>Offset then use the horizontal slider with "wrap" selected in the radio button.

If your filter has a 360˚image setting, make sure to use it.

some "filters" that do a local (vs global) image adjustments can cause this type of visible pole to pole seam along the 360° boundary, such as the clarity setting in lightroom/acr, if it is pushed above 20% or so it will create a similar artifact line, sometimes it depends on where the line falls, areas w slight gradient like a light shadow seem to show it the strongest, dark OR light area may not show it at all, depends on the overall image

so if you either play with different settings in your filter or move the seam location before applying, it should reduce or eliminate this

or maybe make 2 images w seam in different location and same settings and use the good areas from each might work, haven't tried that yet

you can also use the photoshop offset filter to move the seam to the center of the image, then fix w cloning etc
