Video for Pano2VR version 4.

Hi,
I use two programs to convert my video, the reason for this is I need two formats so both the Flash and HTML5 outputs play the video in all browsers.
HandBrake (Windows and Mac)
http://handbrake.fr
Miro Video Converter (Windows and Mac)
http://www.mirovideoconverter.com
Example:
MP4 for Flash and HTML5/Safari.
WebM for HTML5/Firefox and others.
I will start with a .mov video file, 1920 x 1080, AAC, H.264 which is 82.4MB
Open HandBrake and the video.
Choose preset “Android Mid” from “Devices”.
This is ok for pinning video to TV’s etc and outputs an mp4 file 480 x 272 H.264, AAC at 4.4MB. If you need better quality choose Android High or mess with the video settings.
Now I open Miro Video Converter and drag and drop in the mp4 file I just created.
Select “WebM (vp8)” from “Other Devices and Formats” and click Convert.
This generates a 2.9MB WebM file.
Adding Video:
The Preview image used in the Media Editor may be to lower resolution and will make it difficult to pin the video. To improve the quality go to Pano2VR’s Preferences/Settings and click on the images tab. Change the Preview size for your input projection type. My project is an Equirec and I changed it to 4,096 x 2,048. Click OK and close Pano2VR.
In your Project folder find the xxxx.preview.jpg, the default size is 1,067 x 837px. Delete this and open Pano2VR and save the project, this will create a new preview image now at 4,096 x 2,048. The Media Editor image will be much higher quality.
Open the media editor and drag and drop the mp4 file in first, this is required for Flash as it looks at the first video. Set the correct size of the video in this case 480 x 272 and continue to pin the video in the required position.
For best effect set Mode to Directional Rectangular loop 0 (continuous) and set the Field Size to FoV. Do this by selecting 0, then click the down button to get to FoV. This mode then fades in the sound when the video is in view. Change the Click Mode to Play/Stop.
Export HTML5 and open in Firefox, NO VIDEO. This is because we need to go back to the Media Editor and add the WebM video. Open the Media Editor and click on the pinned video. Now open the WebM video using Alliterative File. Click OK and republish and now will play in Firefox.
The Attached zip contains the videos and project files, open the p2vr project file, save it and click Create ALL.
