Hi,

Anyone encountering problems loading 2 or more Pano2VR HTML5 in iPad Safari (iOS6) ?

To reproduce....
You must have an iPad with iOS6. Open 2 or more HTML 5 web pages in Safari, only 1 page will function. The other pages will freeze or don't re-act to touch. please alternate the viewing/ touch of the pages. The freezing bug is obvious.

Load below url in 2 or more Safari tabs. You will see that only one HTML5 pages work properly. Alternate viewing/touching of the loaded tabs. This is not an issue on iOS 5.

Anyone, got any advise or suggestions ?

Thanks.

Cheers,

Same Problem. Most recent loaded works, First pano locks up.
Closing "working pano" also frees up the previously locked pano

Not a new thing for Safari. I have experienced this on Desktop Safari on Mac for more than a year. Especially when you open a second panorama in a new tab.

Personally I would never open 2 panoramas i 2 tabs on any ipad Or any computer at all). Thats just bad webdesign. Make sure that you never do that Just open next panorama in parent or as default same window.

I have not updated to IOS6 and will not until they solve all the other stupidities wit the new maps.

The bug is much profound if you have 2 or more UIWebview running HTML5 in a UIView . You got only one HTML5 running properly and the rest stays frozen. Sometimes all HTML5 UIWebview would freeze. This is only iOS6 bug, not a problem in iOS5. The same true for Safari is iOS6.

The current work around is to load the UIWebview and release it before showing the next UIWebview; which totally kills the user experience.

Anyway, I've filed a bug to Apple, gave them some sample Xcode of the bug and they acknowledged it's a bug.

Not sure how long they will fix the bug or if they have a better workaround. I'll post here if I hear anything from Apple.

Apple finally came back to me. They say it's a Object2VR bug.
Gnome, please advise.

Below, statement is direct from Apple...
---------------------

The problem is in the two libraries that you are using.

The general problem that the libraries have is that they are both using requestAnimationFrame to animate the content, which when registered by multiple frames only works for the first frame registering.

You will need to contact the vendor for those libraries to get the issue fixed, so they can fix the bug for all of their customers. If they need to followup with Apple, please send them the sonar # for this incident (230003258) and radar # (12351227). If they file a TSI with DTS have them include that information in the TSI so that we can speed the process of helping them resolve the issue.

Hi,
Please see Issue #665 I reported this a while for iBooks but sounds very similar. This only started with iOS6, iOS5 was fine however after talking with Thomas and the response from Apple he will look into this.
