Trying to use HTML5, I'm getting an error message with .swf hotspot URLs: "Error loading panorama XML" I examined the HTML file and it seems to point to the correct XML file.
Here's a test page: http://www.voicesfromthedawn.com/labbac ... edge-tomb/
Click on the image to lad the VR in a Floatbox. The VR has two nodes.
Any ideas out there?
Thanks,
Howard

Hi Howard,
If you have a look at the attached ZIP you will see the index HTML page has the base path arranged so it looks into the folder called path.
There are a few adjustments that need doing, I have uploaded the files and tested with my Mac, Safari and an iPad, all working.
Regards,
Hopki

Hopki, thanks for your reply.
I believe I've done everything exactly as in your "base/path" file. But it still will not work on iOS. On my iPad, when I click the hotspot to go to the second node, it returns: "Error loading panorama XML"
Could you please take a look at it:

Thank you very much!

Hi,
I think I will need to know more about your file structure.
It is to do with the light/shadow box thing you have and accessing the files.
I know others have had similar but the base path fix solved it.
Are you calling the HTML page out of a folder? if so then this should work.
Regards,
Hopki

Ok, looking into this a little more Float Box can use iFrames.
Here is an iFrame test: http://support.ggno.me/iframe/
This opens an HTML page that interns opens an HTML page from within a folder. It is Flash with HTML5 Fallback.
Yu should be able to right click view source and use this in your own site as a test.
If your Float Box uses iframes then just making a normal project with a fall screen html page should work, unless Float Box is doing something odd with it, if so I would go back to the Float Box people and ask advice.

Hopki, I don't believe that the Floatbox is the issue.
If I use the file path, and bypass the Floatbox, I get the same "Error loading panorama XML" error on iOS.
http://voicesfromthedawn.com/wp-content ... index.html
I'm stumped by this!
Thanks,
Howard

Hello again Hopki:
As per your suggestion, I did a version using only the iFrame, to eliminate the variable of the Floatbox. The hotspot leading to the second node now creates a different error message on iOS: “Error.Error: NETWORK_ERR: XMLHttpRequest Exception 101.”
http://www.voicesfromthedawn.com/labbac ... edge-tomb/
Does this provide any information that can help to diagnose the problem please?
Thanks,
Howard

Hi
I guess it has always been assumed that the file names would always be the same.
Pano2VR uses the same name and just changes the file extension according to the output.
For Hotspots Pano2VR internally changes the file extension depending if Flash or HTML5 but the file name needs to be the same.
Regards,
Hopki

I can live with the using an xml file and it being the same name, but the even when I do this, it does not support images on an external media server. I have tried uploading the xml file to the server and using the same path etc. So it is not just the filename but the domain name that is assumed. I have enabled CORS on the media server (S3 bucket)
I have a website with all info about my panos and the settings and hotspots etc on a different server to that of my images, this is the right way to run things as I might for example want to load balance my web traffic over two servers but I can't see how Pano2VR supports this.
What is the right way to do this in the new Pano2VR HTML5 code am I just missing something obvious?
It makes perfect sense to use a media server, it would be really good if I could get an answer to this.
Does Pano2Vr support storing the tile faces on a different server to the 'loader' without a CORS error and is it possible to still use an XML string?
