Morning Thomas and the team ...

I'm playing around with Gigapixel and Mega High Resolution images for tiled web display.

Whilst Pano2VR supports multiresolution display for Adobe Flash, I've found out that Pano2VR does not YET support HTML5 display for this type of high resolution imagery.

How soon will it be before Pano2VR supports HTML5 so these images can display on iPads and other iDevices ?

Keep up the great work ... Pano2VR is a fantastic product !

I've been playing with Zoomify HTML5 and it works ... but not that well on large images ! :?

I'm sure you guys can do better as Pano2VR has always been better than Zoomify !

Any plans for multiresolution tiling HTML5 support Thomas and co ?

Soulbrother - I second that again !

I have clients that need multi res html5 for flat gigapan images asap.

Any idea how long this feature may be Thomas or Hopki ?

Hi,

I know that you would like to have this feature but at the moment I see no way to implement this in a usable way. The problem is the slow JPEG decoding of mobile devices, so they would freeze after each movement and this would kill the experience. Also there is very limited memory and no good memory management in the browser.

Any news yet on support for HTML5 output of flat projection multi resolution images yet - ie HTML5 support for standard gigapixel panoramas ?

Zoomify HTML5 is ok but not as good as Pano2VR could be now mobiles have more memory ! ;)

See Issue #78

Current workaround for flat images output as multiresolution is to use Object2VR or export as cube faces and limit the pan and tilt. Empty tiles can be deleted and not uploaded.
