I could be wrong but I think it is for devices that use the Gyro finger features... like pinching, rotating, swiping, tapping etc.. perhaps for devices like iphone 4, and tablets and other mobile devices.
I did try click selecting [x] and when publishing I had difficulty with toolbar fullscreen and circle arrow restart buttons. It was later explained, using gyro... js at this time it worked only for single panoramas (not multiple hotspot linked panoramas).

Hi
The Gyro lets you rotate the panorama just by turning the mobile device.
So far this works on the latest iPhones and iPads etc.
Down side, auto rotate stops working because of the Gyro.

that's really nice, saw that in another mobile panoramic application, real fun, can't wait to try it
I am on Android, is there any way to pinch zoom in/out? Tried with latter version 3 but didn't seem to work? maybe not possible?
Best, G

But the browser doesn't give you access to the data so I can not use it (yet).makiedog wrote:Why does this not work on Android? It has gyros too.

I've been enjoying this feature… feels more intuitive and natural that previous implementations I've seen on iPhone… thanks for implementing it with the latest version of P2VR
Of course as soon as I got playing I wondered if it's possible to combine the starting co-ords one can use for a pano, with this sensor data, and directional info from the inbuilt compass.
So, for example, open a panorama on your phone in the middle of a public space, such as a plaza, and it aligns and displays according to your viewpoint. This would be a very useful tool for developing an 'annotated reality' function with panoramas in the real-world… so you could use it almost as a hotspot overlay function.
Is it possible to access compass data in iOS?
