Many people have old QTVR they would like to convert directly to flash or equirectangular.

While this works fine for Cubic QTVR the cylindric ones behave very weird.
Its not possible to do a direct conversion. Choosing equirectangular as target results in a cropped image without any similarity to equirectangular.
The weird is that if you choose for example vertical cross or cubefaces as target the conversion works perfect also the correct projection conversion from cylindric to spherical and you get the added black canvas to make it equirectangular.

You then have to make a new conversion to your final target.

I have checked both my 2.3.4 version (Mac) and the new 3.0, same problem.

Hi Hans
Please see Issue #257
You can convert to all other projections other than Equirectangular.

@ new readers
You can convert to Cubes first then Equirectangular.

Hopki, can I please have permission to send you a 2.5 MB QTVR file that will not convert in Pano2VR? It just opens as a completely black image, even though it works find in QT7. It dates from 1997.

Thank you,

Howard

Never mind. I found that I could convert the QTVR to a cylindrical image using Stitcher. Thanks anyway!
