Can I add large image that aligns with pano content?

I would like to add an image in SVG or PNG format, that contains a large set of labels. Because the image contains labels it is essential that it align with the spherical panorama content. The image is the full 360˚width of the panorama.

A button on the skin would turn this image on and off.

I know how to make a button turn a skin image on and off, but I don’t know how to make the image align with the panorama content.

How can I do this in Pano2VR?

Until we can pin objects to the panorama I think you will be best to make the same panorama twice and link them using a button and the $cur target.
One without labels and the other with. Stack the buttons to move from one to the other seamlessly.

This is assuming I'm understanding your requirements?

Ah well Smooth, my dreams and my requirements are two different things. :)

I was browsing the mountain panoramas at http://www.mountainpanoramas.com. They use a skin button which controls a myriad of mountain peak labels.

I started looking up the mountain peak names and elevations for my own mountain panoramas. ( I know, many people find mountain peaks totally boring, but when you’re travelling in the mountains, the peaks are landmarks, just as church spires and highrise towers are in cities.)

I’m not nearly as ambitious as the guys at mountainpanoramas.com, but I’d like to find an efficient and attractive way to turn on and off ten to twenty mountain peak labels on my own panoramas.

Not wishing to undertake the task of learning new software, I started looking for ways to do similar labeling in Pano2VR.

I asked about pinning a single image, as I can easily create a single PNG or SVG file containing all the labels. I’m comfortable using illustration software which, compared to the P2VR hotspot editor, has far superior alignment, rotation and text styling tools.

This is an example of the kind of tour where I’d like to add peak labels.

Hi Judy
If it helps, you can go into Pano2vr settings/preferences and set the Preview Equirectangular Size higher to get a much better image in the point hotspot editor.
Try 4096 x 2048, I found this to be ok.
Use your mouse wheel to zoom in and out of the hotspot editor window.

I was looking also similar features which existed with Pano2QTVR (Quick Time file)

On QuickTime file, on one button you could display/hide hotspots.

I didn't find how to do this with Pano2VR. (Display/hide : labels / hotspots.
