Hi Folks,

I have a sound that begins when the pano begins. It there any way to add a delay to the "play sound" until the pano has fully loaded?

Cheers

Hi
In answer to your post, you could just add a loaded, play sound action to a container in the skin.
However there are ways of doing this, can you let me know what you want to do achieve.
Here is an example of sounds starting at different times: http://www.hopkimedia.co.uk/portfolio/lyneal/
The background music plays as it loads, but when loaded you get a voiceover, you get a voiceover in every room.
Also see this article in the Garden Gnome documentation: http://gardengnomesoftware.com/wiki/Pop ... _Narration
This test you how to start sounds.

Thanks Hopki,

That is exactly what I'm trying to achieve; the voice-over waits until the pano is fully loaded before starting. I just can't figure out what event you are monitoring to trigger the playing of the sound file.

Hi Bob

In the sound editor:
Add Panoramic sound.
Set your ID.
Set Mode to Surround (very important)
Set your level (volume)
Set Loop to 1
Keep all other settings as default.
External, this needs to be un ticked, if you tick this then it will sound will start to play as it loads.

Of course this is no good if you have large sound files. In this case you will need similar to this, see here: http://gardengnomesoftware.com/wiki/Pop ... _Narration

Just set a loaded play sound action in a container somewhere in the skin.
