Hi all,
I'm still working to expand my little Pano2VR/ActionScript box of tricks; this time it is swapping cube faces 'on the fly'.
I would (again) very much appreciate if some of you were kind enough to check out this monument in Barcelona doing a disappearing act....if all works well, that is : )
Here's a link:

Just press the red buttons.
Thanks in advance!
Erik Leeman
ps: I managed to significantly improve my earlier experimental versions, the ones loading two and three panos at once. For instance, all panos in a set are now linked, so that when you look in a certain direction in one pano, the next will start in the same direction. Oh, and the buttons work properly now ; )

Thanks for checking it out guys! I'm sooooooo glad it worked!
Like I said in the PanoToolsNG list: Imagine swapping cubefaces like this at a rate of 24 to 30 faces per second; you could animate individual cube faces then!
Again: think of the possibilities!
Here is a link to a LARGE version, by clicking on a small button in the upper left hand corner it can be made full screen:

Let's hope this one works just as well!
Cheers!

Yes, this one also works fine on my system with Safari 4 and Firefox 3 in OSX 10.6.2. Interestingly though, your pano exhibits the exact problem I have with switching between normal display and full screen mode, and which really bugs me! See here: http://gardengnomesoftware.com/forum/vi ... =13&t=3916 for a brief discussion.
Your fullscreen button has the tips 'fullscreen ON' and 'fullscreen OFF', which work fine until the visitor exits fullscreen mode by hitting their keyboard's Escape key. Then the tips get out of sync with the mode, and read 'fullscreen OFF' when it should be 'fullscreen ON' and vice versa. There seems to be no way around this with Pano2VR.
Panoramas made with krpano seem to be able to handle this correctly though, and to be able to detect whether the Flash player is in normal or fullscreen mode. Check out the example on the krpano website here: http://krpano.com/examples/buttons/
Open fullscreen mode using the button on the toolbar, exit using Escape and then hover over the fullscreen button again and you will see that the tip is still correct.
So here's a question for Thomas. Is there any chance you could incorporate a similar detection mechanism into Pano2VR, please?
Regards
Andrew
There will be a solution (along with other state related problems) with Pano2VR 3.x. For me to solve this the Skin code needs a redesign.Andrew H wrote: So here's a question for Thomas. Is there any chance you could incorporate a similar detection mechanism into Pano2VR, please?

This Pano2VR 3.x release you speak of. First or second half of 2010?
