Have you thought of offering the Documentation as a Downloadable PDF file?
I like to have the Documentation in printed format, so I can look at it while working through the steps without having to switch back & forth from a Documentation window to a Program window or set small windows side by side (my screen isn't that big)
I think it would be awesome to have a button inside the input screen that opens the pano you "input"...
Sometimes I end up with 3 or 4 panos, when there is fusion involved, so... When I amworking on several pano jobs at once, I only come back to a job days later, in this instance I think it would be great open the pano in PS etc from there...
Html5/Css3 Tip only tested with windows 32 bit Pano2VR V3 beta.
If you update a patch and then click the “Create All” button the Html5/Css3 panorama is not updated, however Flash outputs are.
Pano2VR will not over write the images folder, you need to delete it then click “Create All” again.
A new images folder will be made with the updated patch. The patch will also get updated if you change the size of the cube face size; this is because Pano2VR needs to make new cubes so not over writing existing cubes faces.
Also tiles are not deleted, if you change a cube size, the old cubes will still be in the images folder.
When you have made all your changes I would advise deleting the images folder and letting Pano2VR generate a new folder which will contain just your required images and cube faces.
This will not affect downloading as the xml will call for the cubes it wants; it just tides up your folders and removes unnecessary images that just sit on your servers doing nothing.
PS: If I post in the wrong place. Move accordingly to the right thread
Hi Some suggestions for our beloved Pano2VR batch processing functionality
Batch Processing
- Add a checkbox : Shutdown/Sleep when completed
- Check projects when completed from the batch list.
Why: If there is a problem with a project file during process, list has to be relaunched and batch redoes all projects from the beginning while it should retake only from last one not treated
- I manage to get my view settings immediatly right out of ptgui. To set up now a batch of projects where i edit only userdata because they influence some menu descriptions I need to
a) Load image into project (image processed for previews)
b) modify user data
c) save as new project file
The image process after input equirectangular file in a) is not required for me in this specific workflow, especially because during batch processing the image is reprocessed. This takes me always around 80-120sec./project. (Making a 20 files/day is annoying)
Wouldn't it be possible to integrate a settings parameter:
"Process image at image load Y/N"
If set to no: Simply the image preview is not generated, only during the creation process.
for b) I would really love to enter more data automatically, thus requiring more fields to enter these. Perhaps it could be thought of an external link to a xml or txt file entering data for batch processing.
Why would one need this. I often create links to other panos. the panoname linked to is entered in the $n field.
I could link more files at once inside my pano if I could have more fields to enter these (note: the other fields are already taken for other informations I enter into the pano)
Overall The objective would be to push batch processing time and automatisms.
I join to the "skin libary" place.
There should be a new area in site that include users' free skins. It will include:
a) Preview-picture of the skin.
b) Demo flash that shows all the skin features.
c) And of course the ggsk file.
Why such an area is good?
1) It will be easy to find what you need and want
2) It will encourage people to contribute their skins.
3) It will make people improve each other skins.
