Open a hotspot automatically?
Not at the moment but this is on my To Do list. I hope to have this feature in Pano2VR 2.4 or 2.5.
MfG, Thomas
Yes, you can use timers to active elements in the skin based upon different states of the tour such a pan, load etc.

Hi,
I'd like to pick up this question from 2009.
Is there a way or workaround to automatically open a hotspot when arriving at a node, i.e. without the user having to click the hotspot?
Thanks
Graham

Thank you soulbrother, however, sadly not addressing my issue.
I have a video hotspot in say node id 2
When a user arrives in node id 1, I would like that video to show automatically, without the user having to click the hotspot.
This acts as a video transition to the theme of that node.
At the moment I have these video transitions as an element in the skin and they are triggered to show as one of the actions when a user moves to that node.
However, when this tour is embedded in an ios app the media player remains open.
I have a short screencast to demo the problem:

Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you

Hi,
If opening a video element in the skin works, then have a look at this: viewtopic.php?p=60098#p60098
The project uses a video element that uses CSS to fill the window.
Does it help?
Regards,

Thank you Hopki,
Sadly it is the opposite problem. When using a video in the skin the media player remains open despite setting the container to hide when Media ends.

Hi,
If you open your project in our free desktop application and it all works then I think your next step would be to go back to the creators of the app you are using and ask the question there.
It may be a bug in the app software.

Thanks Hopki,
It is certainly an issue concerning the way that iOS is handling the video.
However, the app does not engage with the tour at all. It simply calls the index.html in the HTML5 output folder which is located in its entirety in the app file structure.
Given that a video called within a tour acts differently to a video called from a skin element shows that pan2VR is handling those videos differently not the app.
My workaround was to have all the videos as hotspots, but given I can;t open a hotspot automatically when a users arrives at a node I'll have to find another way.
Thanks
