Hi Hopki
I use a similar hardware except for the N40 instead of the 400D.
Smooth I really would appreciate your suggestions on how to improve the actual pano from Hopki (except from text overlay error in the skin)
What would be the best aperture for this combo. I found that f4.5 or 5 gives better results than f8. But I lack further investigation as this statement is based on a few tests which I made on the fly.
Here a link to one of my panos I posted in the website forum section

I'm not sure what a N40 is? I'm guessing this is a typo? Maybe Nikon D40 or Canon 40D?zap wrote:

I will not clog this thread with shooting procedures but I will offer this link to another forum post I have just made to a person starting out on the Easypano forum.
f/8.0 is the sweet spot for the Sigma 8mm for general shooting. f/11.0 for the Nikkor 10.5mm, Tokina 10-17mm, Canon 15mm and most other full frame 180 degree lenses.
The basics are your starting point.
Here is a monopod sample with Sigma 8mm and Pano2VR skin I'm playing with.
Regards, Smooth

Text problems in my skins,
I don’t get them on IE 7 and Flash player 10, but just seen a PC running IE 6 and yes some of the text that should be hidden using alpha 0 is still in view, not sure if its flash player 9 of IE 6 problem or a combination of the two causing it.
Can no longer rely on alpha to hide anything,
Not a happy Hopki

Hi Smooth
Just had a look at your other thread.
Why did I not find any one like you when I started off, would have made life a lot easer.
You the man
Cheers Hopki

I hope it helps, There are a multitude of things to help and improve results. My workflow changes often as I learn.

It is the current position in the target style (pan/tilt/fov) and it only works in "open next panorama".erik leeman wrote:I'd guess its something like 'Current Position' or 'Current parameters'.
Yes, I know.... This was just a quick hack to solve exactly that problem. Karyn is currently reworking the wiki and I hope all those little hacks get documented in a proper form soon. It's not in the list of skin placeholders from 09-01-08 as far as I can see.
