There is no way I can run a translation with a POT file generated by P2Vr7

I think is due to my settings that are as follows:

1 - P2VR software interface language is ENGLISH
2 - P2VR projects data are written in ITALIAN
3 - When setting the prject language I assume I must set it in ITALIAN as all the text are in ITA

4 - the POT generated file when opened in POEDIT correctly shows ITA as source language

5 - Unfortunately when selecting the translation language ENG for example or any other, the source language is automatically changed/switched to ENG

6 - Tried to set the project language to ENG but then poedit doesn't recognize the source language text and no translation is done.

7 - Also changed the P2Vr UI lang in ITA but still, when the POT file is opened in poedit, the source langiage is automatically switched to ENG.

Last but not least, there is no way poedit translates ALL the lines, just the first one (did a test from ENG to GER)

Any suggestions would be really appreciated.
Thank you
Piero

Update:

I got this reply from poedit support.
You say you’re translating POT file. POT file is a template, not translation file. It cannot be pre-translated.
Looks like that what it's shown in the P2Vr YT video P1 is not correct.

Any ideas?
Thnak you

Hi,
Not seeing this.
Start a new project, and set the project language to ITALIAN.
Then in the project used Italian words in the userdata, note you need to add three or more.
Then generate a POT file which allowed me to set English as the translation.

You can see the two languages.
Or keep the project to English, then add an Italian translation.
Then you can add a Config Loaded action to change the language to Italian.

Thank you Martin,
I am doing, I think, exactly what you suggest, however, as you can see in this video screen recording, https://pieroannoni.com/varie/langerror.mp4 the problem occur when using the .pot file with poedit.
The source language swich to english every time therefore there is no way to proceed with the pre-translation.

poedit support as well, confirmed that it is not possible to run a pre-translation on a *.pot file as there are only templates.

Any ideas?

Hi Martin,
please forgive me if I keep asking but the can't find a way to make the *.pot file beeing translated by the poedit software.
The translation button does nothing at all.

As posted above , in this video https://pieroannoni.com/varie/langerror.mp4 is clearly visible the issue with poedit not applying any translation at all.

Still wondering what is not working; being unable to apply a translation to any of the project I have it's a limitation hard to accept.
Thank you
