Hi there,

Is it possible to change how the cloner collapses nodes? Please see the short attached video.

I have a category and sub-node structure, contained within a scroll area. Currently, when a category is clicked on:
  • the nodes in the clicked category are first populated and expanded to fill the list
  • the nodes in the previously active category are cleared
  • the nodes in the previously active category are collapsed
This order of events results in both the previous and newly selected categories taking up the maximum space for the combined nodes. In this case, forcing the scroll area to display its scroll bars. The more nodes the two categories contain, the larger the combined area will be needed to change between categories.

Is it possible to change the order to:
  • the nodes in the previously active category are cleared
  • the nodes in the previously active category are collapsed
  • the nodes in the clicked category are populated and expanded to fill the list
This will reduce the amount of space required to display a category change, and make it much easier to work with.

Many thanks
Marc

Hi Marc,

Is the attached video representative of what you have now, or is this how you want it to appear? Because looking at the video, it looks like what you are hoping to achieve below...
  • the nodes in the previously active category are cleared
  • the nodes in the previously active category are collapsed
  • the nodes in the clicked category are populated and expanded to fill the list
In the video, you click on location "Ground Floor", and the nodes in the previously active category are cleared, and the category collapses. Then the clicked category expands and is populated with new nodes.

I'm a bit confused about exactly what you are trying to achieve.

cheers,

Tony

Hi Marc,
What happens if you copy only the menu into a new skin, do you see the same issue?
If so can you share the skin?
