Hi there,

Once a bunch of colours has been exposed, is there a way to re-order the exposed entries in the "Edit Skin Configuration" dialogue ?
I've tried changing the order in the *.p2vr file ("skincolorsconfiguration" tag), but it didn't appear to make a difference.

Another quick question - I had several exposed colours. I've then opened the Colour Editor (nothing selected so all colours shown), and performed a "Do not expose colour" on all the items. I've saved the skin, regenerated the project, closed the project and re-opened, but the previously exposed colours are still shown in both the "Edit Skin Configuration" dialogue and the "expose as" in the Colour Editor.
In the Colour Editor, I cannot see any elements set to an exposed colour now, but they are still being shown in the dialogues. How can I remove these previously exposed colours?

Many thanks,
Marc

There isn't any way to re-order the exposed entries from within the application but you can edit the skin.xml file contained within the .ggsk file in a text editor and cut and paste them to re-order them. If you take a look at this section of my RPGT tutorial it will help you understand the process. The tutorial shows how to add a number of exposed skin colors but in your case you just need to cut and paste the existing ones. NOTE: make sure you make a backup of the skin.xml file before you change it just in case you make a mistake. If you do make a mistake you will get an error telling you which line is incorrect.

You can use the same method above.

Excellent - worked a treat, thanks Tony. I haven't worked directly with the 'skin.xml' file before, so that's a new avenue to explore the next time I get stuck!

Appreciate the help,
Marc

Hi Marc,

Also good for re-arranging Custom Properties as well. Just be careful with the cut and paste :-P

cheers,

Tony
