When to open up a file to finish working on it, nothing was respond, the Pano2VR Project File is 1KB, effectively means nothing is there, have previously created an output file and Garden gnome package, have been working with Pano2VR7 and upgraded to beta4,

I know Pano2VR7 does backups, have look at various places where Pano2VR7 backups, can’t see anything or I’m looking in the wrong spot, any suggestion would be good or is it I have to redo all the links again (355 panoramic)

Backups can be found in the Settings/Preferences, see: https://ggnome.com/doc/prefs-settings/
My guess would be you have the project file on a shared drive.
And maybe opened in different locations.

For example Google Drive, you then work on the file from two different computers.
We have seen that if one of the computers had not finished saving the project and it was then opened by another computer you can get this situation.

I personally use Google Drive this way but work between my office and house.
But each time the computer is shut down before the next is started and opens the project file.
I have not experienced this issue working this way, but have when trying to replicate the issue, so on purpose leaving one open and then modifying the files on a different computer then going back to the first and saving the file.

This may or may not be your cause but this is the only way we have ever seen this issue.
But of course, there is a first time for everything.

I looking in backup and it was empty, I do use multiple drives on the same computer,

I have got lazy about making backups, not doing as many as I should, however I got reasonably lucky that I found an backed up the file I had saved when I have 208 panoramic links, the Pano 2VR Project file is 593KB.

Now I have to relink the remaining 147 panoramic links, a good few days work, but would have been worse having to do the full 355 panoramic (link would be about 850 in the project plus all the other additional information)

Have been busy backing up everything.

The moral of this you can never have enough backups of your work.

Hi Michael,
Pano2VR 7 lets to set the backup interval and how many backups it will do before the oldest drops off and gets replaced. Also, where you back up your files.
