Hi,
We are developing a tool that needs to meet certain accessibility standards. Is there a way to tab through polygon hotspots and launch their content via a keystroke? Any thoughts are appreciated.
Thanks,
Brian
Activating Polygon Hotspots via keyboard

Here is an example of the project: https://gymnasiumdemo.s3.us-east-2.amaz ... index.html. So far the user has the ability to use the "ESC" key to exit out of popup windows, and the "N" and "P" keys for the next and previous pano respectively. Users can orbit around pano with the arrow keys.
Another idea is to have a HUD with a target/crosshairs that would activate the hotspot when over it and the "enter" key to launch the content. Any ideas on how to set this up?
Thanks!

Hi,
Here's a site that I've been working on that uses a number of key strokes to enable interaction. I haven't done anything with polygons but it should be possible.

cheers,
Tony

Hi Tony!
Sorry, for the slow response...I didn't get an alert; need to check my profile settings. I really like your progress on this. I'm thinking I can accomplish what I need with the thumbnail menu that you set up. Can you briefly describe how you set that up? I'm a little green but can probably muddle my way through if you can give me an idea of what you did.
BTW- did you visit Hokkaido or are the panos taken by someone else? My family and I visited in 2018. Japan is amazing!
Thanks,
Brian

Hi Brian,
This is added as a Feature request as Pano2VR 7 has a new tabbing accessibility feature.
But Polygon Hotspot was not a part of this.
Regards,
Hopki

Thanks for the response, Hopki. Just to clarify, will this be in an updated version? We are currently using ver 6.
Thanks,
Brian

Hi Brian,
Yes, this makes its way into Pano2VR 7 at some point.
But for Pano2VR 6 you would map a keyboard key to a container that then has actions to do whatever you need.
So not tabbing but is using the keyboard.

Hi Folks,
Have been playing with the latest beta 7 of pano2VR, and very happy you have added accessibility functionality to this build. But! I cant seem to work out how it works and what objects this can be applied to eg: hotspots, buttons or just user created elements created in the skin editor. Have seen it working in the Feather-orb skin but finding it difficult to fathom how it works looking at that. Do you have instructions/guide on this or could you do a webinar covering this?... seen it touched on in one webinar, but not showing how it is implemented. My goal is to add this functionality to my existing custom skin, so I don't have to rebuild from scratch.
Many thanks
Paul
