Hello, I'm looking information about Pano2VR Pro version 6_1_13. Anyone from the support could help me to clarify those questions below?

Thank you so much,

Ildemar

1. Does the software have any encryption capabilities? Y/N
a. If yes, does the encryption: (answer Y/N below)
i. _______ Encrypt the data in files (scramble data for illegibility)
ii. _______ Does the software utilize encryption capabilities of other programs (i.e. “crypto with a hole” or “open cryptographic interface”)

2. Does the software have an Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) registered?

Hi,
We do not use any encryption.
Pano2VR by default uses multiresolution so this in itself chops up the cube faces into smaller tiles.
This would be very time-consuming to reconstruct.
It would be easier for someone to do screen prints and then create cube faces.
So if the pano can be seen it can be stolen regardless of software.
Export Control Classification Number, personly never heard of it, please can you send in an e-mail to support.

ECCN is used for US products, right?
Is it needed or can there be an ECCN code for not-US-products also?

[OFF TOPIC]

United States:

ECCNs are five character alpha-numeric designations used on the Commerce Control List (CCL) to identify dual-use items for export control purposes. An ECCN categorizes items based on the nature of the product, i.e. type of commodity, software, or technology and its respective technical parameters.

Europe EU

Dual-use goods travel freely between countries within the European Union. The classification sources entailed for EU are the Wassenaar Basic List, the U.S. Commerce Control List (ECCN), the EU dual-use Council Regulation Annex I, and any additional National items for the country from which you are exporting.

Thanks for your input, Dave.

@Ildemar
