Hello all,

I can't open the skin editor on my new DELL notebook XPS 15 with 4K monitor, Windows 10 64. When I mouse over the Pano2VR button in the taskbar, I see the two preview windows, but I can't open the skin editor.
When I open the same project on my old PC with Full HD monitor it works.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi Hans,
This looks like a problem we have seen before on Windows.
Please have a look at this website: https://www.howtogeek.com/661597/how-to ... indows-10/
Try moving to desktop.

Hi Hopki,

thank you for your help! Unfortunately it was not the solution. The problem also occurs when I have no other monitors connected to the notebook. The small preview image, which shows the window for the skin, is white and without content and when I move the mouse over it, Pano2VR disappears.

Best regards

Hans

Hi Hans,
I was trying to avoid this but you need to do a clean install which will reset the registry.
The will mean you need your license key to hand.
If not log in to your account and select License Keys, click on the visible part of the key to copy all of it to your computer's clipboard.
When required you can paste it into Pano2VR.

1) Back up any custom skins or templates you may have in the skins and template directory if you have any
2) Uninstall Pano2VR, then run the attached registry cleaner
3) Restart your computer
4) Download a fresh build from our website

Open Pano2VR and test it in trial mode first, if all ok continue to enter your license key.
This is the fix to this issue.

How it arises is the skin or another window, skin preview, etc is placed on a second monitor, at some point, the computer is shut down or something happens without it being relocated to the main screen. I say this as we have never been able to reproduce it.

But only happens to Windows PC's and when a second monitor is sometimes disconnected, Windows freaks out and the window is lost.
Cleaning the registry resets all window locations.

Hi Hopki,

I followed your description, uninstalled Pano2VR, cleaned the registry, reinstalled Pano2VR, restarted the PC and I was able to open the skin editor in the second window.

I did this on my notebook without being at the docking station and the second monitor connected to it. I turned off the notebook after this test, then connected it to the docking station and turned it on again. The restart at the docking station brought the error again though, I can't open the skin, you only see a small white preview window when I mouse over the Pano2VR button in the taskbar.

Best regards

Hi Hans,
Thank you for your information.
Can you write into support with information about your laptops graphics and which monitor you are using.

When did this start?
Can I ask have you tried updating your driver at the manufactures website?
Windows updates do not always use the best driver and try to avoid gaming drivers.
