(moved from other topic)

Hi,
I'm trying to reduce the number of files a bit, one reason is to reduce the "nodes" on my webserver, another is that my tablet (with package viewer) seems to "choke" on the number of files. (i get memory full message while many gigabytes should still be available).

What would be the effect of increasing multires tile size from 510 to 1020 (i do notice less files, but what other consequences does this have?)
The "Pi" also seems to have something to do with it, but without the maths, what real life thing does (un-)checking that value(s) in program settings do? Better files? sharper? more or less files....?

Would be great to have a little explanation on this. the help file seems to be made for mathematicians :)

Hi David,
If you set the level tile size to 1022 you will produce fewer tiles.
By default, Pano2VR divides your image by four to calculate the clubface size.
If set to PI then the cube faces will be larger and result in more tiles but have better resolution, so as always size vs quality.
