Hi!

Since I am a photographer and not an IT expert, it is difficult for me to answer the technical (website)questions asked by a customer who is interested in a virtual tour.
Maybe someone here is so kind and can tell me what answers I can give him to the following questions?

1: What is the basic technical structure of the application? Which web standards are used?

2: Which software components (frameworks, script languages, fonts, plug-ins, etc.) are used?

That would be a great help and I thank you very much in advance!

It is clear that you would like technical answers.

Your client would be interested in know how a virtual tour would work on their server.
So the client might be only talking about his product that you create for them.

Their product is only the set of files found in the "Output\ folder" that you create for them to upload to their server in a web page layout.

It would be a good idea to ask them what type of server are they using. Are they using Content Managed file system ? (CMS) for Wordpress pages. If so Pano2vr has a CMS plug in you can use in designing the web pages

We are not using Wordpress. Our personal website lives on a remote Secure (read https:\\) "Apache" operating system that serves standard HTML5 web page. I use Adobe Dreamweaver to create my html5 pages.
See our site https://360texas.com. Typical html5 coding and the tours are on a separate gallery page.

Side note: I don't think they need to know how the Pano2vr program (App) works on your computer.

Maybe other forum members might like to expand on this discussion.

Thanks for your answer!

I must have expressed myself badly. Of course they don't want to know what Pano2VR needs or how it works but how the website I send them is built (what Pano2VR generates).

Like web standards, components and so on. Can I tell them that is is only HTML or Java or what ever - I know little in this topic so I need to know what to tell them.

You expressed your self quite well. You are asking the right questions correctly.

What type of server are they using.? Are they using Content Managed file system ? (CMS) for Wordpress pages. If so Pano2vr has a CMS plug in you can use in designing the web pages

[edit add comment] So yes, your client should have a web master that can incorporate your Pano2vr OUTPUT work into their web page site.

They don't ask about design or implementation but about security. I don't want to answer with a question but answer their questions as accurately as possible. But I don't understand some of the questions and I don't know the answers. It is a hospital and they have security concerns.
I think I understand what you want to tell me, that it is not a problem to make the site work on any server, right? But that's not the background of the customer's question.

I'm sorry if I misunderstand something, English is not my native language.

Thankfully hopki answered me with an email with the following explanation:

Pano2VR exports a folder using HTML5 standards.
As it is HTML5 no plugins are used.
To embed in a website you can use an iframe, or if they have a competent web developer they can copy and paste the HTML code from the index.html page and add it to their own showing the tour directly on their own page.
For iframes, I use this website: https://www.iframe-generator.com

Thanks for that and thank you again to 360Texas, you gave me some valuable informations!

Hi,
When in the WordPress Plugins, search for GGPKG.
