Hi,

I´m trying to intensify webxr, but don´t get it right.

Instead of this little globe after entering webXr I´ve added a custom image to my hotspot.

Masked PNGs and SVGs seem not to work.

Is only JPG and unmasked PNG possible? Can´t find it in the documentation.

Thanks for this info.

And by the way:

thank you for all the help and answers to my questions I´ve received until today.

Therefore a free login keypad element, I´ve made. Maybe you can use and like it.

(It´s not a top secret access style!)

Marcel

I use Photoshop cs6 (non CC) to create transparent .PNG file type.

Menu: Save for Web

2 choices PNG-8 and PNG-24
PNG-8 file type keeps the image + adds a white background layer.
PNG-24 file type keeps the image + adds a transparent background layer.

My 360texas.com image below in the signature block is a PNG-24

standard .jpg has a white background layer

hope this helps

Ok,
in the viewer the transparency was fine. When published and on Iphone I still have a black background instead of transparency.

The PNG, that I´ve sent first is also working find when used within the skin, as logo e.g. So the transparency works fine for the regular output. The problem is the appearance in webXr.

For the WWP I made a png-24 tripod cap for our panoramas and is 400 x 400 px. Also notice my PNG-24 360Texas.com logo at the top.
You can see the dock area next to the ship behind the transparent logo.

Hi 360Texas,

probably no good idea to take a white png without background on a white forum page.

But it´s in there. Believe me...(right click, open in new tab)

Just took the original icon I wanted to use in the pano. Because of green foliage in the pano the white icon was working best.
Now I´m using a black and white jpg.

You can try it here: https://www.show360.de/KWGi (but it´s still in preview state)

Meanwhile I try to change all PNGs to SVG. Would be great if you can use them as hs custom images in a while.

UPDATE:

I recreated the png in PS, Image Ready and Corel PhotoPaint. Setting 24bit with transparency. No help, still black square behind the image when using webXr.
To find in the virtual tour in the wooden log cabin in the middle of the park. All others are jpgs now.

Just noticed that this park is near Giessen.

Back in 1954 I lived in Giessen for a year before moving to Frankfurt A/M.

Very interesting... your park in the forest. Imaging is great work too. Clear, good white balancing and sharp.

The translucent button bar across the bottom works very well.

Green on white is a good color selection. For someone that is red/green color blind might have an issue. They might see alternate colors.

example: for the color blind person, green tends to look very pale green or nearly white, and red may seem closer to orange.

So you might consider choosing another color pair.

Thanks for your words 360Texas.

A good idea to check colors from time to time. Years ago I marked a webpage https://paletton.com which is a color scheme generator, that also can simulate different types of color blindness. Good luck: it´s still online.

While doing the checking of the different PNGs the last hour only on Iphone I just found out: transparency of hotspot custom images in webXr IS WORKING on Android.
So the problem seems to be with iOS (using iPhone Xr and iOs 14.6).

Hope you had a good time in "Good Old Hessen" ;)

Good find. I see it has settings for all types of color blindness.

I too bookmarked that page for future reference.

Thank you Sir.
