Hi, I have some projects which are calling images and sounds from a directory that is below the output folder.
For example, for my welcome screen, I use a png file, located inside output/assets, or for my sounds I use files located inside output/media.
My problem is that when I m extracting those projects as packages and loading those to my ipad, the package viewer does not recognize those files

Any fix for that?

thank you

Hi Dizzz,

Are the assets and media folders inside the output folder or outside of it.

Can you post a screenshot of your file structure?

Hi dizzz,
You need to add all externally loaded images/resources to Pano2VR's assets as found at the bottom of the HTML5 outputs Advanced tab.
The path would then be, assets/ then the file name.
This way when you create a package all the external files will be part of the package.

Hi Tony,
yes all my files are inside the output folder, but it seems that the package creator is not reading those files this way

Hopki, I ve tried to add files manually in the advanced tab and the package worked fine,
but It adds all the media files twice to my assets folder, so the output folder gets dirty with duplicated files.
I would expect a more tidy solution, but its ok

Thank you both

Hi dizzz,
From what you have said this sounds like you add your images to the viewer or image hotspot.
If this is the case then this will automatically add them to the images folder so no need to use assets.
What through me is when you said adding external images.
I think rather than trying to guess how the project was constructed maybe post a support package containing the project file and skin.

I have audio and images to a folder inside the output folder called media.
I m adding the sounds to the advanced tab as files but packager is not playing them.
I think I have to put them in the assets folder manually and change all the hotspots to reference the sounds to the assets folder, but that is almost impossible to me because the project is bilingiual with 110 hotspots (x2) and 100 spherical images. I ve managed to solve the problem with fonts with this way
I m attaching a screenshot showing the structure of my output folder

thank you
dizzz

Looking at one of the point hotspots it is using an image tag, then HTML formatting for the text.
Exporting this as a package works fine in the Desktop Package Viewer as well as the Mobile Package viewer, but the image is not found on a WordPress website.
This is to be expected as WordPress messes up file paths.

In my test project I moved the image to assets then edited the path to point to assets:

So this is working for me using the Mobile Package Viewer on the iPad.

How are you adding your images and sounds to the images and media folders before making the package?
You do know if you add them to the output after, they will not be included when Pano2VR makes the package.
This is why you would use the assets, as Pano2VR then knows to add them to the assets folder in the output/packag.

So, from what I understand, I have to remove all my images/sounds from any other folder, add them strictly to "assets" folder and change all the paths referencing only to "assets" folder, right?

Also, I ve renamed the output folder with an extension of ggkpgd ,it worked fine on the desktop package viewer, all materials are included, but when I add it to my ipad it doesn't showing up, any trick for that??

thank you

Hi,
Ahhh,
OK you can not use a .ggpkgd with the mobile APP
So you need to make a package in Pano2VR and not rename an output folder.

So this brings us back to you needing to use assets, or you manually make the package, see: https://youtu.be/wX3V90qE6Wc

But using assets is far better as you can just use the Create Package Button and all the files will be included without any workarounds.
