Hi,
I have to do a virtual tour with embedded video but it doesn't work on phones with android. Is there any solution for embedded video to also work on phones?

Hi,
The videos do play on an iPhone 11.
But…
You need to start the video with a button click somewhere. As an example, It could be a welcome screen with a close button. This button will also start the video.
But opening your tour then using the thumbnail menu to change nodes, the embedded videos then play.

Hi,
Please try the attached video.
Add it to your project, the important thing is to set the size in Pano2VR to 1024 x 1024px.
Try it and let me know, I can go into more detail once you have tested it.
For me your original video did not play, this one does but, of course, you need to test in your project.

Hi,
If you looked at your video it was 11.3MB
The reencoded video is 630KB.
So for a start, this saves so much space and faster download time if you do this to all your videos.
Use HandBrake which is a free download https://handbrake.fr
Open your video in HandBrake.
Use the Preset: Fast 1080p30, we will resize this to 1024 x 1024px later.
Select Web Optimised, this adds all the video headers to the start of the video so optimised for streaming, the result is the video starts to play sooner.
Without this, a portion of the video will need to be downloaded before it will start to play.
Select the Dimensions tab and change the Storage size to 1024 x 1024px. The reason for this is most mobile devices will not play media over 1024px, even Apple say you should avoid sizes over 1024 x 1024px.
Now select the Audio tab and add a new codec, AC3, this is for Apple devices to keep the sound and video in synchronisation.
Now output the new video.

Hi,
I'm still having trouble with viewing embedded video on Android. I converted all the videos exactly as you described it. Currently, some video is shown and some is not. How can I fix it?

Hi,
Your link is using videos that are 2304 x 2304px AAC and very large, 6MB and 23.6 MB
If you encode the videos as advised then they should work and be much smaller in file size.
Remember to set the size in the video panel from 2304 x 2304px to 1024 x 1024px after you have resized the videos.
Also, the file path in the console shows: http://spacery360.com/torun/test4/media ... i%20ok.mp4
To tidy things up always use an underscore or hyphen rather than a space.

When you open everything on your computer, the files are large. On the phones, the version available under the "LQ" button opens and the files are small there. Exactly like you said.
For example, I have a 1.m4v file there, which has 500 KB and is not displayed on Android
Open the link, click "LQ" button and then the phone version opens.

Hi Umberto,
My apologies, would have expected to see the smaller files on the desktop.
Using a Pixel 3 and using the link, it all works as should.
This is a screen recording from the Pixel 3.
