This may seem a strange request.

I shot some panoramic pictures with the GOPro Max, the levelling wasn’t quite right, I am aware and have done levelling with control L in pano2, but like tripod removal, I can use patch in pano2, but I prefer do the removal in photoshop.

I prefer to have panoramic pictures problems fixed before I load them into pano2, so I can concentrate on linking rather than on fixing.

Any suggestion would be welcomed for external levelling software.

( I aware there’s one or two software for levelling, I have see a online example, which I not keen on, I even less keen on getting the GoPro Player from the Microsoft store)

Hi,

I'd recommend PTGui Pro for leveling finished equirectangular images. If you have a pano you need levelling send it to me and I'll level it in PTGui and send you the PTGui file so you can see what was done.

Hi michael63,
I understand why you say you want good panoramas before you start tour building but still, you have Pano2VR which can both level and patch.
Why not, first load all your panoramas into a Pano2VR project just for leaving and patching, you can then add your user data such as Title, Author etc.

Once done you have the option to "Convert" the output.
If you have space for it, convert them to TIFF, I say if you have space as this process will add about a third to the file size if your input images are already TIFFs.

Question, "Why would I want to do this?"
Pano2VR converts to tiled TIFFs which do not require remapping so will load almost instantly making working with projects much faster.

This process will not affect the original panoramas, Pano2VR will create new levelled and patched images with your user data which you can then load into a new project or just continue using the same project to build the tour as when you convert images Pano2VR will use all the newly created panoramas so you can move your original panoramas to your archive or backup or whatever you do with your original images.

Thank you, Tony and Martin for your replies.

Early on with my learning curve of Pano2vr I did use the tripod patch, when I was tidying up some folders I realise I have delete the patches permanent, then I had to workout which of panoramic photo had the tripod which ones didn’t, I also realise quite early on, not to have 360 folders scattered all over my PC as well, hence, get it fixed approach, before it goes in to Pano2vr.

But I will certainly look at the two suggestions

On a side note, the performance of the gopro max, it is not the top of range 360 camera, however you can subject it to seriously hostile environments where’s other 360 cameras just wouldn’t make it, I was impressed with its perfomance, although level is a bit rubbish it can be fixed.
