Pano2VR runs fine on M1 Macs with the Rosetta 2 emulation layer (I am working with one right now 
). It runs faster on my M1 Mac Book Pro with 8 cores (4 of them are high-performance cores...) than on my 18 Core Intel iMac Pro, so the new M1 Macs are the fastest Macs you can get for Pano2VR... and it is only in emulation.
Qt, the framework Pano2VR is base on is not yet natively available for Apple Silicon, and this may take another 3-6 months.
