In attempting to deploy a direct-to-node URL within a Floatbox pop-up, I discovered that Floatbox parses out the hashed URL because (according to the Floatbox developer), most uses of the hashed URL are to scroll the target's content to a specific location on the page. And such scrolling will scroll the Floatbox content AND the parent webpage, creating a confusion of scrolling.
The developer suggests, as an alternative that I could use what he describes as the emerging "standard of using the hashbang (#!) for non-scroll usages." Floatbox would not parse out the "hashbanged" URL. He's offered to add the hashbang-enabling code to his software.
Might Garden Gnome please be able to enable the "hashbang" as another way to implement the direct-to-node URL?
