Such as when one visits an art gallery, clicks on a painting on the wall to reveal a large, flat image of the painting in the middle of the panorama?

Can a hotspot launch a stand-alone flat image?
You could set it as part of the skin, that when the hotspot is pressed it shows the image in the centre. Then put a button within the image which hides it again.

Embedding the actual (big) images in the Flash file would significantly increase its filesize wouldn't it?
Linking to seperate files would be preferable I think, so everything can be downloaded bit by bit.
Perhaps some kind of 'placeholder' can be made in the skin, in which the external image can be projected on demand.

It would appear that using hotspots to launch "flat" pictures is already possible - as illustrated by this crisp pano by Martin from http://www.msk360.com.ar/
Pano over here:

Any ideas how this was done?

Hi, Gus!
I created a "hotspot template" for each picture in the panorama with a button placed on it and an image, which is the corresponding image of the picture, but bigger and better in quality. Clicking on the button placed on the picture opens the image of the picture. Its all a hotspot template, one for each picture. I hope it is easy to understand. If you want I can send you the project of the skin. It is about 5mb, but I can eliminate almost all hotspots and leave only one as an example which will make the proyect easier to send.
Let me know.
Regards, Martin

mskp,
as the set example is interesting to me. If to you it is not difficult, could send and me (eugenli@yandex.ru) the given project of a skin. With all hotspots or with one - as to you it will be convenient.

Hi! I´ve uploaded the skin project. Erased most of the hotspots, leaving just one as an example.
