Hi, guys,
I am looking for a good 360º camera.

Primarily for photos and panoramic tours.
Since I also produce and edit vieos, a camera with video function would be great.

Does anyone have any experience?

What do you think about:
RICOH THETA SC2 360°

Thanx

Hey Christoph,

I only have experience using one camera and that is the "Insta360 Pro 2". It is a professional grade camera that my company rents out but it has been discussed that we may buy one. Other than that, I do not know about other cameras or how they compare to one another, sorry.

It depends on your use. I've purchased both the insta360 X and the insta360 Pro 1. If it's just for fun for yourself, a consumer camera like the Theta or Insta360 One X will be fine. You might consider the Theta Z1 over the SC2 because of the sensor size. Bigger is better.

If you are selling your services, you definitely want to pay the big bucks for a pro camera. The IQ is MUCH better on the professional cameras. The One X and Theta are nice consumer cameras. But will fall far short of client's expectations.

I don't know about other 360 camera makers, but the stitcher that Insta360 gives you with their Pro cameras is bad at best. So you'll need to use a 3rd party stitcher like Mistika. It's a great stitcher, but is $600 a year. The stitcher included with consumer cameras is better but lacks many functions you will want as a pro.
