Hi, can anyone help explain how to add PDFs as hotspots in Pano2VR.

I've spent all afternoon searching and reading posts but cant search for the term PDF on here as its too short! I've watched videos about content & hotspots, but have yet to find anything with the information to add PDFs. Ive read posts that show I have to add them to the Assets folder and Ive read posts that linked to a sample PDF projects but they had no instructions and this is for a project I already have.

I was hoping it would be quite easy like adding a weblink or image but as yet struggle to find a way of even coming close!

Really appreciate that, and it has helped and was great to follow and got a better idea although Im stuck with what you mean for multiple PDFs on different hotspots

When you say -

"If you use the content fields in the hotspot to define the pdf you can create a variable that would then be used in the text box to add the name of the relevant pdf.

So you create multiple point hotspots, use the title of the hotspot, in this case 'dc3-wreck-location'. Use the Mouse Click to set the value of a variable to the title, and then use the variable in the textbox."

I dont have a clue where the content option is or what to change where! I've looked at the ht_info in the skin, the Hotspot properties, including for a new one and am no closer to beginning to understand that. Any hints or suggestions? All help much appreciated

Also, when I save the skin from the test project and import to my project, I loose all the navigation hotspots and just get an info button. Im completely confused by the skin editor if Im honest!

Hi,
If you have more than one Hotspot template in the skin, as an example ht_node and ht_image.
Then when you set the Point Hotspot in the viewer you tell Pano2VR which Hotspot Template in the skin to use.
You do this in the Point Hotspots properties panel and under Skin-ID.

Pano2VR has some defaults, as an example, if you add a Tour Node hotspot, it will automatically select ht_node.
Or if you add an image point hotspot is will use ht_image.

However you can name the Hotspot Templates in the skin to whatever you want, you would just use the drop-down menu to select whichever Hotspot Template that hotspot should use.

Here you can see I have added one called my_hotspot.
Hope this helps.
