Hi David,
Where in the world are you?
Also, what would you like to know more about?
We may have already covered the subjects in one of our webinars.
Maybe e-mail in to support.
Regards,

Hello Hopki, hello David,
Just loaded some stuff online and very willing to grant access through gyro !
(i do not want VR with cardboard yet, just the gyro).
I actually saw that functionality on Kuula and I agree it does great. It is very good for people to understand and enjoy the impact of what we're doing here...
---
1. I used the gyro component -that I just downloaded from here- and loaded it onto my skin, uploaded the whole to my distant server.
The Gyro icon appears properly but nothing happens when I click it (using an iphoneXR, with iOS 13.6.1). I don't even get the image switch, which tells me that the gyro is not active on my device, I guess...
I later understood that Motion access was disabled by Apple on new iPhones. Even, it is no longer available in the settings actually, which is quite rad.
2. I ran a test from an older iPhone. I could click the gyro icon and the icon responded properly with the image switch. Though, the contents could not be browsed through movements... weird. Meaning the gyro was properly detected and active, seemingly, but I could not browse using gyro...
---
Question 1 :
Do I need to upload a different output ? An output that would be compatible with gyro ?
My understanding was that gyro browses through the same content (normal html output)...
Am I wrong ?
Have I missed something ?
Note :
I still need to find a solution for iPhones using 10.13 and higher. I started to explore further and found this excellent tutorial about Motion permission request :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AbB9ayaffTc
Seemingly, its the kind of permission that is requested by Kuula on first connection. I remember authorising motion quite a while ago...
So first there is a request, then You authorise from your iPhone, then it works.
Question 2 :
In which js file should this script be added/edited to make things work ?
Alternately, is it doable to insert that javascript straight into the component ?
The idea would be : to have the request activated by a click on the gyro icon.
Of course it would be great to have it built-in.
Maybe it is the case already and I just couldn't find it...
Question 3 :
How about the other smartphones on the market ? To your knowledge, what is the status ? Any restriction ?...
Cheers !
F.

Hi,
In Pano2VR the latest Gyro Component can be found in the Skin Editors Components Tool Box.
For the Gyro to work you need a secure connection, SSL, so your website starts with https:// and not just http://.

Hi Jmondo,
This requires a bit more work as this will require new menus etc in the skin editor.
To this end, this is planned for V7.
The iOS fix was a quick edit of one of the files inside the WebXR folder so no impact on other things.
So I understand your thoughts but two completely different areas of the software.
