This came up in support and thought I would share.
As an example imagine a tour of a tram, it may have 5 sections but only the first and last are different, with the three carriages in the middle being identical.
Under normal circumstances, the output folder will produce a tiles folder with five subfolders, one for each node.
However, there is a way, where the nodes that are the same can use the same set of tiles but are still classed as separate nodes able to have different hotspots.etc.
How.
Let's assume it is the tram project that will have 5 nodes.
I will have the panoramas, front.jpg, carrige.jpg and end.jpg
With all the panoramas in a project folder, open Pano2VR and add the panoramas, front.jpg, then the same carrige.jpg three times then the end.jpg
With node1, selected go to the user data panel and select the Edit Project User Data button:
This will now show the Maser Node.
Select the Custome Node ID text box and enter $(n).
Now select any node in the Tour Browser to exit Master Node.
You will see in the User Data Custom Node ID the panorama names greyed out.
For the nodes that will use the came tiles, in this case, carriage, make sure the Custom Node IDs are the same.
In the second carriage node, it will display "carriage_1" then "carriage_2". Just overwrite this to just say "carriage".
The ones you overwrite will have solid white text.
Add the HTML5 output and under the Advanced tab modify the multiresolution naming convention to this:
Code: Select all
tiles/$(ucnode)/cf_%c/l_%l/c_%x/tile_%y.jpg
Now create the output.
The tiles folder will look like this:
Each duplicate node can have its own hotspots, pinned media etc, etc but will use the same set of tiles.
Menus will also show the project to have five nodes.
Working project attached.
