Thumbnail Pano cloner with tag filter not working

I have added a 'primary_pano' tag to each of the main panos that I want to display in a thumbnail menu in my UI, and have set my cloner tag property to filter on this 'primary_pano' tag. It doesn't seem to do anything.

Each pano has the 'panos' tag as well. I am assuming this is an important one to keep, but does the cloner filter on this tag automatically?

Could there be an issue with caching?

Hi,
How are you setting the tag to the menu?
In the cloner or are you using a set value action?

Hi Hopki I am having the same issue. I am setting the filter in the Cloner settings in the skin. I have added the tag "thumbnail" to every pano node I want to be in the thumbnail cloner of silhouette skin. Every pano node shows up in the thumbnail menu. Any ideas?

thanks

I am doing exactly the same as Kevin.

btw, I also tried toggling the 'inherited tag from parent cloner thingy' switch but it did nothing. My cloner isn't in another cloner.

Kevin, please let me know if you figure this out. I am about to give up and just manually create menu items that open the panos.

Hi Guys,
Can someone send me a project that shows this issue, I can not reproduce, I have made many small projects and all working?
You can select File, Save with assets and create a folder on your desktop, zip it up and use something like Wetransfer or Firefox send to send it to the e-mail below.

Just looking at my nodes, and I am changing the source MP4 and still PNG image regularly as the artist replaces them. Could this be changing the node ID and therefore making the cloner code have bad references?

LProbert I am doing the same thing as you. My assets are being updated and I am replacing them frequently.

Ahh, ok I see what is going on.
The element thumbnail_menu has an action, that when the config is loaded to remove the tag from the cloner.
So on loaded your tag is being removed so you see all nodes in the menu.

Why did we do this?
What this does is if you do not select to have the thumbnail menu, the tag does not get removed.
As there is very little chance you will have a tag "_nop_" none of the thumbnail images will get downloaded.

So to fix your skin, simply remove the action from the thumbnail_cloner
