Hi,

I'm currently testing pano2vr. In the beginning i was quite confused about the program, as to be honest it looks a bit like a kid's coloring program because of the icon style. Looking behind that, it's a actually quite advanced. Not easy to find the way around: i spent a few hours to find why some skin hotspot moved after clicking. I have some scripting background but I could not find it.

Anyway, it's all a matter of getting used to, I suppose. and there are many good instruction video's around. 8)

1 / However i don't see how i can easily make a nice info popup screen, that contains some text with customizable font, plus one element like: image /video / iframe, or map... (a simple example in the attachments). This is one of the elements I'm planning to use a lot. What would be the quick way to make that?
2 / Also, I'd love to keep images and hotspots visible the way i put them in the editor, is there any way to prevent them from returning to the default "shooting visor"? I think it works much more creatively when what you work on looks close tho the final output.

thoughts appreciated.
best,
david

ok i found out it's possible to add an <IMG...> tag in the description field of the hotspot, and it can load that info + image into the info screen. if feels a bit like a workaround, but it's possible. :)

ah yes thanks, i finally managed it, although it took me hours to find out why the image wasn't popping up.
the URL i rather keep out of the skin, i'll do that with basic HTML tags.

on to the next challenge :)

Hi David,

Check out some of my tutorials that cover the area you are working in.

Hotspot Zooming Text Reveal: https://tonyredhead.com/pano2vr/hotspot ... -reveal-p1

Using Point Hotspots to deliver contextual content is a great way to make your Virtual Reality tours more interactive and provide an enhanced experience for the viewer. One of the most effective options is to zoom up an image based on a mouse click. This option can highlight and provide information on specific areas of your panorama. This long-form step-by-step tutorial takes you through building the image file, adding in zoom capabilities, and a mouse over text reveal.

Hotspot Templates and iFrames: https://tonyredhead.com/pano2vr/hotspot ... nd-iframes

Using Point Hotspots to deliver contextual content is a great way to make your Virtual Reality tours more interactive and provide an enhanced experience for the viewer. The most convenient way to create and deliver the content is by employing .html files and iFrames within the hotspots. Rather than create and manage multiple hotspot templates this tutorial shows how to use a single point hotspot template and external .html files with multiple hotspots.

Styling Text with CSS and Local Fonts: https://tonyredhead.com/pano2vr/styling-with-css
The best way to ensure consistency across browsers is to use a Local font file and CSS to style the text. In this example, I'm going to create a button and a popup information block using the local font file/css method.

cheers,

Tony
