Huge Web VR tour navigation

Hi,
I have completed a huge 3Ds subterranean tour which navigation on the desktop is 'classic' with the map, thumbails e.t.c but with the Web VR or Cardboard is linear, that's simple passes from one node to the another. With the Krpano there it was the option to pick e.g each 5th or xy node with the additional button (>>), is there a simple way to do that with P2VR: to keep the present linear navigation but adding the 'back-forward by xy nodes" option?

Hi,
You can do this having next and previous buttons that skip a set number of nodes.
Please see the project attached.
In the project you set the number of nodes you want to jump using the skin configuration button.
But it's not for WebVR, as you can only activate hotspots and will not have buttons.

is there a plan from the "third party" to implement such and option to Web VR? ...and additional question regarding the same tour - it is the compile with Web VR support. The previous "cardboard" version diplay of the image was quite smooth persistent with the cardboard option, and is so now but with Web VR, eg. Oculus Gear VR via Samsung internet or Oculus GO is with the laging and very slow upload. The original image resolution for the stereo pair is 15000x15000... do I need to lower the resoultion or something else to make the display more persistent?

Hi,

WebVR works best with multiresolution output. You never have to change the resolution of your source images. With multi resolution output the WebVR player will automatically select the best resolution for the device.

This is not for WebVR, but with VR Tourviewer you can watch Pano2VR tours on Oculus Go, Quest, Rift and Google Cardboard. The loading speed of panoramas in VR Tourviewer is usually faster than with WebVR. You can also store tours on the device to watch them offline.

For the next version of VR Tourviewer I'll be adding the ability to show a thumbnail menu with the ability to use filter tags, similar to the Cloner in Pano2VR Skin Editor. There's no ETA on when it will be available yet, but if you're interested you can get access to the Beta version when it's ready for testing. Just send me an email at info@vrtourviewer.com.

For output for use with VR Tourviewer you can set the output size to Single Res and a Cube Face Size of 1536 or 2048. 1536 loads almost twice as fast (1536x1536 = 2.3M) as 2048 (2048x2048 = 4.2M) but 2048 results in a slightly higher visual quality on an Oculus Go, Quest or Rift.
For Cardboard devices the resolution of the device is usually not high enough to see a difference between 1536 or 2048.
