Feature request: Geotag images from GPX file

Would be nice if the Pano2VR Tours Map was able to geo tag images using a gpx file, which lots of apps can record and export (and Sports apps such as Strava).
For those who haven't heard of it, a gpx file is just a data file of smartphone times and regular longitude/latitude readings. Most images are date/time stamped, so it should be straightforward to match the nearest corresponding reading in the gpx file. An optional user-specified offset would cater to any difference between smartphone and camera date/timestamps. The Lightroom Classic CC Map Module does this (see from 5:24 onwards), though not reliably.
Note: A similar useful option would be to distribute nodes evenly along a hand-drawn path.
