Hi,
You need to use a secure hosting to get the gyro to work on the phone.

HI Milos
Yes, so you can use https://.
There are security issues with using the gyro, devices can be tracked etc.
So manufactures disable this unless the tour is on a secure website then it works.

Hi,
I have bug reported this.
I tested Firefox on Android and it works ok, so did Chrome Developer, but Chrome brakes.

I was having the same issue with the black screen attempting to use WebVR with 6.1 beta 3. It wouldn't work for me on Chrome (developer, mobile or desktop), though it did partially work on Firefox (though it would not exit WebVR properly - it went back to only showing one eye's perspective). I downgraded to 6.1 beta 2, re-exported my tour and the WebVR was working again. Not sure what changed, but thought I'd share my experience since I didn't find anybody else post this as a potential solution when I was searching around. Thanks.

I can confirm that when attempting to launch vr mode in Chrome (with https), you first see the cardboard image/message:

and then it goes black and you can do nothing. Here is my test results:
  • Chrome Doesn't work
  • FF Works
  • Opera Doesn't work
  • Dolphin Doesn't work
  • Edge Doesn't work
  • DuckDuckGo Doesn't work
100% of the browsers that showed the cardboard image/message above, VR mode does not work. FireFox is the only one that worked and it did NOT show the cardboard image/message.

Any thoughts?

Any new updates on this? One of my clients asked me why the screen turned black when clicking on vr mode..... had to tell them that they need to access the vr mode from within an Oculus or other VR headset.

Anything? :-)

Thanks!
