Hi All,

I have noticed that when you wrap an object with a container and then anchor the container to say top right and then set the element anchor to top right within the container and set the objects position to Y=0 and X =0 then the object will position itself as expected within the container at position Y=0 and X =0. Notice in the screenshot that the image is in perfect alignment with the container. That's because the position is set to Y=0 and X =0.

Image

....however,

If you move the object out of the container and then attempt to move it back in using a button with logic such as "on-click/position/change element position" then you have no way of setting the position of the object back into the original container at Y=0 and X =0 coordinates if there is a difference in screen/display size.

You would think that since the object is anchored to the container that it's positioning would be dependent upon the Y=0 and X =0 of the container it sits in, but this is not the case. This does not seem to be right.

Am I missing something?

Hi,

How are you moving the object (Image 1) out of the container?

I just followed your example and it's working for me if I use an action on the Text 1 button of Mouse Click > Position > Toggle Element Position > Offset -300/200 > Transition 1 sec > Image 1

Yeah, I have no idea what the hell I was talking about in that post. It's kind of twilight zony. I should probably stop posting after my first brownie because 3 hours later I did a video showing someone how to do exactly what I said couldn't be done....

Anywho, sorry for everyone wasting their time reading all my nonsense.

Can we just remove this thread here? :D

lol, but seriously. They are DAMN GOOD brownies. I can only eat about a gram of them at a time otherwise I'm off to the moon. I have about 10 pounds of them sitting in the freezer so should last me a couple more years :D They make me pretty loopy and I only eat them late at night :D
