Custom Fonts in 6.1 beta2

Could somebody please explain to me how to use custom fonts in my skin.

Would like to avoid if possible creating SVG, PNG or JPG's to then bring in to my skin for Info popups, buttons and hotspots.

I feel like I must be missing something very obvious?
clearly there must be a simple way to use any font i need when designing custom skins.

Thankyou

Same issue here, it looks like custom fonts aren't working for me either in 6.1 b2

Having no issues using Google Fonts, but thanks for the info Tony, I have found many of your tutorials helpful.

I am specifically asking about completely custom fonts, designed in-house.

How am I able to use the WOF file in the tour. Seems to me like that must be a problem for many people, clients have in-house fonts and branding that is essential for the tour to keep consistency across the brand.

I realise that I can bring in external files, which is okay(ish) for most situations, but with numerous info popups and other text heavy elements it just seems very inefficient or both my time and the data required.

Have a look at my new tutorial https://tonyredhead.com/pano2vr-little- ... beta-fonts

It shows how to use WOFF files in Pano2VR V6.1.2a beta

Quick question TButtrick, how are you creating your font families and what format are they in?

I can confirm that Tony’s approach to using local fonts in this tutorial: https://tonyredhead.com/pano2vr-little- ... beta-fonts works perfectly.

I use https://onlinefontconverter.com/ to convert to WOFF fonts

The font files are given to me in .oft format. Sorry Tony but Im not sure how they are made, not my area of expertise. I just converted them to WOFF.

Im over the moon to see you've created a tutorial for this, about to try that out, no doubt it will work immediately thanks to your hard work. It is very much appreciated.

If i might ask you something Tony?

You'r clearly very knowledgable within the 360 industry, do you have any suggestions of websites, companies or people who are doing cool things with Pano2vr and 360 photography?

Im sure you know more than most the potential the skin editor brings, but most of what I see is clunky, ugly tours with mediocre design work and amateur looking 360 photos. I know there must be some amazing work out there but other than a handful of people Im struggling to find it.

It's hard to track down examples of good skin UI's. In a lot of cases the standard skins are used and rarely do you see a truly unique example of great design.

I saw this one today Castelo Branco 360 http://castelobranco360.cm-castelobranco.pt/. It's built in Panotour Pro, but certainly achievable in Pano2VR and has a very interesting UI skin and the map implementation is quite unique.

I use to follow a number of companies in the old Flash days like Regal360, a company who always pushed the skin UI front, but it seems as though Terry has moved onto new ventures with https://zenixvr.com

Pano2VR has started a new Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/p2vr.gallery/ but there's not much in there at the moment.

I'm working on a couple of projects at the moment that I'll post to the Gallery when I'm done.

cheers,

Tony

Thanks so much for the Info Tony, although Im a little disappointed with the answer.

Maybe this is the wrong place to ask, but what software is the industry standard for custom built 360 tours?

That example from Castelo Branco is impressive, and well thought out. All achievable apart from the hand curser  I suppose we cant have it all!

Which gallery are you referring to, id like to see those.

Many thanks for the reply

And all the great tutorials

Sorry about that!

There is no industry standard software per se but rather a number of software applications that provide different workflows that integrate industry standard frameworks like HTML, Javascript, CSS, XML. Pano2VR and krpano are just two of a number of software applications out there.

I understand that it's on the feature list but maybe Martin can give it another 'bump'
