Greetings,
I am a novice in Pano2vr but willing to learn. I am doing a project where I need to hyperlink to specific panos from an outside database. I would like the pano to open in a new window, so I can go back and forth between the pano and database. The data base resides in a web site and the pano2vr files will be stored in the same directory as the database files. I have done general searches in the forums and have not been able to figure it out. Any thoughts?
Thanks for any help
Rick
Linking to specific pano from outside source
Hi Rick,
Do you know what type of Database is being used?
Also do the Pano2VR projects contain single nodes or are there multiple nodes in each project?
Here's a direct link https://s3-ap-southeast-2.amazonaws.com ... index.html to a project
In your case if it is just a single pano then it would be a simple URL link in the database entry such as <a href="https://s3-ap-southeast-2.amazonaws.com ... index.html" target=_blank>Node Change</a>
If it is multiple nodes you need to publish with Direct Node Access enabled, then your URL would look something like <a href="https://s3-ap-southeast-2.amazonaws.com ... html#node2" target=_blank>Node Change Node 2</a>
The _blank opens it in a new window.
cheers,
Tony

Thanks Tony!
Much appreciated, the existing database is for emergency services (Fire, EMS & Police) preplans of buildings mostly educational. The company asked if it was possible to hyperlink to specific hazards within the buildings to show the emergency personnel prior to them entering the building. I had worked quite a bit back in the day with the older version of Pano 2vr (prior to html5) where you had to identify each pano and create an html document to link. I just assumed this was still the case until I tried to locate the link and to my surprise wasn't there.
thanks again!
