In Forum here and FB, I'd seek input to the following.

You know how in all the youtube videos for instructions,
the ctrl+alt+g sequence gets sped up before the rest of the video plays?

What spec would reduce that time the most... Better
Faster proccessor or more cores, i.e. 6 core 3.5 or 8 core 2.4
More ram or faster write time hard drive?

Upper limit to ram useability for output improvements?
i.e. don't bother going over XXX gigs....

Any input? what's the best matrix of decisions?

- I would go for as many cores as possible. I tested Pano2VR on 64 cores (EC2 instance... not my box, unfortunately ;)) and it still maxes them out for remapping. Better get more cores then faster cores. Almost everything is multithreaded.
- Next is hard disk speed for reading and writing the files
- RAM is less of a concern unless everything can fit in RAM like smaller tours. The GPU doesn't get used in Pano2VR.
