Hi,
As a thought, what is your colour space in Photoshop, it needs to be sRGB, most default to Adobe RGB.
Using Adobe RGB the PNG will still look different, but sRGB should look the same as the panorama.

That was my first thought too when I saw the edge. The source pano and patches were saved with sRGB color space embedded. The default color space in Photoshop is set to Adobe RGB but I have preferences set up to warn me when there is a mismatch and it gives me the option to use the embedded sRGB color profile which is what I do. I was careful to make sure that the color profile didn't go through any conversion. I'll switch Photoshop's color space to sRGB for the rest of the project. If that fixes the problem, I'll be sure to follow up on this thread.
